Update from Argentina

November 10, 2010

Dear Praying Friends,

Greetings from Argentina, things are starting to “warm up” south of the border in more ways than one.

Hospital Ministry

Many people, who live on the streets here in Morón, stay at night in the hospital where they can find a bench and a roof during the cold winter months. Marcelo Arias is a young man who has spent time in jail and been kicked out of his house because of drugs and alcohol and lives at the hospital. Recently he has made a profession of faith and come to several services; please pray for his spiritual growth and commitment to the Lord. Please continue to pray for Ariel and Nelson Page. I have seen Nelson a few times but he wasn’t as “warm” as he was in the hospital.

Church in Morón

Please continue to pray for Luis and Mabel; they are doing really well, Luis has preached in my absence several times and the believers here are “warming up” to his ministry. Mabel has been a big encouragement to Laurie through her friendship and commitment to the children’s club ministry. The couples we asked you to pray for last time continue to have problems; please keep praying for wisdom as we deal with sin and the need of repentance on the part of those involved.

Family

Our family is doing well; we would appreciate you praying for David as he finishes his time in the Marines in December. Pray for direction in his life; he needs a job and would like to study computer programming. Also please pray for spiritual renewal in his life. This coming weekend I preaching in special meetings in the south of Argentina, I would appreciate your prayers for me as I preach on November 13th and 14th.

Thank you for praying,

Scott & Laurie Brackett
