RECENT EVENTS
The past month brought us a spate of visitors both from our family as well as our co-workers the Nicholsons. In fact, on one Sunday our congregation consisted of one half Americans, counting missionaries. This has not proven to be a sound church-growth strategy, but it was fun to have a full house!
FUTURE PLANS
Thanks to those who have prayed concerning our Bible club outreach, originally planned for the end of May. However, we have needed to put off our plans by several weeks in order to conform better to child protection standards in the UK. This involves a massive amount of paperwork relative to the current size of our ministry, but as matters developed we were forced to conclude that it was better first to implement a full child protection policy – for the protection of our own testimony as well as to guard against “the unthinkable.” We are now aiming to begin our Bible club outreach for the school summer break in July/August. Please consider this to be a continuing prayer request.
GOSPEL CONTACTS
Warmer weather has finally arrived here in Wales, and we have discovered that our area virtually explodes with activity and visitors when the weather turns nice. Please pray that we could find ways to capitalize on the increasing contact with people for the sake of the gospel. So often, it seems a matter of being in the right place at the right time, but we want to be strategic about this as well.
FAMILY MATTERS
• In the next couple months, we both aim to pass the UK drivers test – reputedly the toughest in Europe!
• Steve’s birthday – June 4
• Our anniversary – June 11
• Please always pray for the grace of God to work mightily in us for Christian living and service.
